Orienteering challenge

Rowan and Holly class had a great time this week during an orienteering challenge. There was some fantastic teamwork going on! Maisey and Cameron completed the challenge the fastest, closely followed by Ollie and JB. Well done year twos!

Woodlice choice chambers

Today we have been making predictions about where woodlice like to live, then testing them out. We checked in dark, damp places, then set up an investigation with choice chambers to test our predictions. Ask me about it!

Position and direction

We are learning about position and direction in class, about our left and right, clockwise and anti-clockwise, half turns and quarter turns. We are also learning about points of the compass. Here are some great games that you can play at home to help with these.

Go as far as you can with hour of code activities. Click on the words to access the games. You can find the minecraft game here.

Next week we will be doing some more work on grid references. You can play a game about Australia here and Billy Bug here. There is also a Dino Dig here, which is like battleships. Ask someone in your family to help you to get started with this.
